Better late than never..

I just finished making the transfer from the computer to the first copy. I am happy to say that it was a success!!

So I will have GOX videos for sale (and because I now have a new computer the GOX III video will not take 11 months to produce) :-)

Included in the GOX II video are such timeless moments as:

Slimedog getting his shingles at the Outlaw.
Ian's word scramble (as well as the "Ian is a Prick" light show)
Glens near roll over on "the Wall" on Poughkeepsie
Todd blowing out his sidewall on "the Wall"
And many other fun moments...

There is no Blair Witch footage on the GOX II video - for those of you who remember the first GOX video you know what I am talking about. This video was also shot in MiniDV rather than the Compact VHS of the first year so the quality is vastly superior.

What format, VHS? I'm interested if you can make it on VCD. How long is it, by the way? (Uh, the video, Beavis).

I can try to output it to VCD. Currently I am making VHS copies (better quality) and the length (of the tape) is 45 minutes.

I will have tapes with me at GOX (but I need an idea as to how many to have) If you are not going to GOX but were there last year and want the tape I can ship it. Or if you want the tape before this years GOX I can also ship it.

I will figure out payment options tomorrow when I have had some sleep. (I am thinking money order/checks)

To make my life easier the cost will be 20 and that includes the shipping via first class mail(or whatever it is that costs about 5 bucks)

I wouldn't mind a digital version, SVCD or VCD 2.0 is as good as VHS and should fit 45mins on 1 CDR. Save you the hassle of making multiple VHS copies

VCD2.0 and SVCD should be compatible on most DVD players too. I don't think I've used my VHS in quite some time now.

Not true, as far as I can see VCD has more support than SVCD. In fact I don't know any of my friends/coworkers who have DVD players that support SVCD. Some sadly don't even support VCD.

Carlton, check out VCDHelper.com for some info on how to convert. Any CD burning tool (Nero or that lame Easy CD Creator) can burn to Video-CD easily, just like burning MP3's as a music CD.

I fiddle with VCDs all the time (I make backups of my DVDs), I can give you a hand if you need.

O.k. here is the deal..

I made a VCD of the GOX 2 video and it works on my Pioneer DVD player. So I can make a VCD if you want but I make NO PROMISES that it will work on your system.

Edit.. it is not as sharp as the VHS

The quality is heads and tails better than the first GOX tape.

That is an intermission..

I had to buy a new computer to get the file to transfer to video. That segment (for some reason) got messed up when I switched computers. I tried to put a title there but everytime I did the program would do evil things.. So I left the bathroom break in place...

Funny thing is it is almost exactly in the middle of the tape. (30 seconds is long enought to get a beer right?)

Paypal? I'm interested. Tobad I didn't read this sooner, we could have done and even swap, yours and Liz's decals for a tape!
