Take a snatch strap... [LOL]
Seriously. I have an LSD rear and BFG M/T's. Went through some mud that I thought for sure I'd get stuck in using 2wd and I walked through it. Couldn't get stuck if I wanted.

Yup. Up to the frame mud, no less, with step rails and flaps still attached and running mild A/T tires:

The key word is "momentum". If you have a 5-speed, 2nd gear is your friend. 1st will just have you spinning mindlessly through the slop until enough goop piles up in front of the front tires and pulls you down to a halt.

Conundrum-

That picture reminds me of one of my favorite ads ever- When the guy jumps out of his Jeep (Liberty?) and pours hot water on the polar bears tongue that is stuck to his truck.

Good Stuff.

I dunno it's not that big of a deal.. just hit it fast, keep the speed up, and don't do stupid dick-around shit like some 4WDers do and you'll be fine.

This rule pretty much applies to everything, not just mud.
