I am 36 but I won't get my X until June 7th.

Old enough to know not to ask "How old are you?" on an internet forum. I'm surprised you haven't been flamed, flayed and fileted. What are you thinking?!?!

Bought my first on, 2002, three years ago. Last year I traded it for a 2004. I'm 55 now and use the X for hiking, hunting, and fishing. Hope to do a cross country trip with it someday; 2 more years to early retirement........

I got my 2004 Xterra about three months ago. Undoubtedly the best vehicle I've ever purchased, and I've bought quite a few in my 49 years.

You got me beat, i just turned 62 on July 2 and i thought i was the "old fart" of this group. i drive stock black '01 se and just luv it. It replaced my '89 xe pathfinder. I like to go camping a lot and i am a runner so it is perfect for me. Thanks for sharing.

Age 31. 2005 SE Night Armor. First NEW truck ever. Love it. My dog hates me though. I won't let her ride in it. Lucy is a golden retriever and her main purpose in life is to shed. I am sure I will break down and let her in soon.

59...use my X OR for hunting ducks,geese,elk,deer, & pronghorns all over the country. At times I have to ford rivers and follow washed out roads to get to where the game is at. Use to have a 99 modified cherokee but I retired it at 200,000 miles and sold it for $3500.00 because I wasn't sure I could routinely drive straight through from KY to Colorado or ND..although it NEVER did break-down.

You and I both pay for our trucks, you and I both work hard to afford things that we have, but hell... you can't judge the kid like that.

I'm not judging or hating on him personally, I'm stating a 'big picture' opinion. And my opinion is that something is wrong when you go to most high schools and see mucho kids driving better cars than you and I can afford.

People let day care and DVD players raise their kids, buy them expensive vehicles, pay all their bills, blah blah, then wonder why they end up with adults who have no initiative, no determination, no common sense, no nothing.

Of course I don't know this youngster personally so maybe none of that applies to him. But it DOES apply to a significant number of young people in this country today.
