I've got a '67 mustang that I struggle to put gas in and wanted to find out what others of you out there drive or ride in for fun.

I envy you. It's been two years since I sold my MG Midget and bought the Z. The Z is great, but the Midget... well... that was a just plain awesome driving experience!

They are nothing when it comes to handeling and power of the modern stuff but driving is a hell of a lot more fun. It's going to be a fun project for the next couple months. Looks awful small next to the X and the top of the wheels on the X are just above the top of the doors.

Your Accord is too new for this, but I just carry liability on my Geo Storm. That costs me $10 per month. Since I have two cars I get a $10 per month discount on the Xterra (which is fully insured), so it comes out the same. Might not hurt to look into the actual cost of keeping the Accord before getting rid of it. Insurance may not cost that much more and you save money on gas.

I guess I shouldn't complain, this little f*cker gives me constantly between 35-39 MPG with cheap old Valero or ARCO gas and burns about a quart of oil every 1000 miles. That little thing zips through traffic too. So to all you hybrid drivers, you paid about $25K for your gas saver that gives you 40-50 MPG's all I paid for my GSB is $2K and gives me nearly as much as yours...

STI is awesome...300hp, all wheel drive, how much better does it get?!! My hubby drives the Subie, the X is mine! We threw some winter tires on the STI but no major mods (yet). We were thinkin bout chipping it...we'll see. I chuckle at those who complain about gas mileage on the Xterras. The STI is WAAAAYYYYYY worse! The neighbours look in our driveway and call em the "tank and jetfighter". X is knight armor and STI is a gunmetal grey color. We've even been stopped in coffee drive-thru's and asked what type of vehicles we're driving. (It's ford, chev, dodge country here) Love it!!!!

if i were to get a car, it would be a WRX. probably not the STi tho for insurance since im single and under 25 (hint hint ) its bad enough with a truck and 2 motorcycles. its about $2k a year with a clean record.

I had to give up my Xterra but new I would never be able to go back to 2wd....so yup, you guessed it, 2006 WRX wagon! My 2yr old son loves he zippy wagon more than the bumpy xterra.

The wagon has already been "reflashed" and has an exhaust. I haven't gotten any real numbers yet, but according to the chip mfg, i should be putting about 280hp / 334ft-lbs at the crank. I didn't want to modify the exterior because everyone here in SoCal wants to streetrace

the X is awesome, but it's all I've got, some of you guys make me feel poor with all your rides... ...but then again I just turned 25 and I've got a brand new house and I'm getting married in July...

I had a 1988 Chevy Beretta(bad trans.), 1996 Chevy Cavalier(sold to aunt), 1994 Chevy Camaro RS(friend totaled ), 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS NT(traded in on car #5), 2001 Mazda 626 LX(traded with mom for month), 2004 Suzuki Forenza S(mom's car I traded with for month), MY Xterra (Lucky 7 ). I traded my 626 in on it. Hopefully the Xterra will be the last for a long time. I've wanted an X ever since they came out in 2000. I know it sounds like I have terrible luck with cars being I'm only 20; but i hope my luck will turn around with my dream X!!

My baby is my 'Stang. It's been a labor love and it never sees a day with clouds in the air since I never put the top up. Thankfully, that's not a hard thing in Southern California. The X is replacing my 1997 Ford Expedition that was totalled by a hit & run driver. I'll miss it...it got to 109K miles with no problems, ran great in any condition or terrain, and was a sweet ride.

I love my new X! I'm gonna have it for a long long long time!

It's always nice to have a car for paved roads and another for when there is no road.

If it wasn't for the fact that I can't cook, clean, do laundry, balance the check book, program the VCR, check the mail, mow the lawn, clean fish, take care of the kids, or know where to get food, she would so be kicked to the curb.

I refuse to drive the Vue. It's my wife's car/truck/suv thingy. (what DO you categorize it as?) I call it the POS.

Although it's about the same size as the X, it's fwd; it has this funky electric assist power steering and a shifter that makes you guess what gear you're in. It's only got 40k, yet it's been to the dealership 9 different times for a myriad of repairs.

I have a 1983 Suzuki GS450E cycle sitting in the garage waiting for me to put the new carbs in. Only has 2900 original miles!

Also have a 1976 Spitfire 1500 waiting for restoration. Body is in GREAT shape, but the car has not run since 1996, so the engine needs the most work. All the shitty Lucas Electronics actually work so that's a bonus.

Also have the wife's 2005 Pathfinder LE 4x4. It's AWESOME, but she won't let me take it off road

My POS 2001 Mazda 626 was my last car.
It had a 4-cylinder with an Auto trans and only 56,000 miles on it. It had $8990 posted on it and it seemed a little weird that it was the only car on the lot that had its price marked on the windsheild. I traded my 92 Eclipse in on it. They offered me $3000 for it so I took the bait. I thought I got a good deal on it until I discovered it needed new brakes front and rear, new tires, new bearings, a lock cylinder for the trunk and the lock on the passenger side didn't lock. This was all fixed at the dealer except for new tires. Well I had a set of nice lookin 17" wheels and tires on my Eclipse and they fit the 626 with no problem and they were supposed to be switched out. When I went up to the dealer to get switched, They took me to Sears to get them switched out. When that was over with, Sears tried to charge me $100 to switch MY fuckin wheels and tires. They pissed me off and I hate Sears now. Well a couple months later, The engine with only 60,000 miles started to knock and my gas mileage started to suck big time. By this time I only made 6 payments on the damn thing and I wasn't payingb for #7. So I went back to the dealer I got it from and there it was this Super Black 2001 Nissan Xterra SE.
It was my dream truck, I couldn't believe it. I went in an they totally gave me an awesome deal on it. A 2001 Xterra with a V6, 5-speed, and only 70,000 miles for only $11,500. It was awesome. Now I'm Mazda free and a lot happier now it's over. Now I have my X and it's a beautiful thing.

I just sold my little project. I kind of miss it. An '87 Wrangler V6 4x4. It was soooo fun to drive. Nice pick up, I just got out of a relationship and I found myself with no reason/place to put it. Wish I had it back. I'd still take the X over it though.

In keeping with the theme, I bought this Jaguar X-Type ("Baby Jag") last Wednesday with a little less than 30,000 miles on it. They needed to fix the trunk latch so I wasn't able to pick it up until today.

I took a quick drive up the mountain to Azusa Canyon on the way home and took a few pictures. Quite a difference in the feel from my X with the rear sway bar removed.
