Out with the old and in with the new

Out with the old and in with the new - 11/01/07 12:34 AM

Sold my precious 2002 SE/SC and picked up a 2006 OR. Managed to snap a pic or two before the buyer picked her up.

I have to be honest, having them sit next to one another, I like the looks of the older style better - especially with the 5-spoke rims.

All in all, the 2002 was a fine truck and I am quite sad about getting rid of her. But the extra power and room will be nice with the newer version.

Bummer you had to let the '04 go, those two look real good side by side. Did the '06 come with the bull bar or did you add it?

I added it. Have some Daylighters I am going to fit in there. Going to get the larger tires this afternoon too.

Congrats on the new truck!

I sat in & drove one and it was tempting.

Instead my '03 is in the shop gettin' the IFS cut off. [Too much XOC]

Sorry, this is a little off topic but i couldn't help but notice that on the 2002 you have BFG All Terrains. I'm guessing they're 265/70 17"?

Do/did you have any issues with rubbing at all?

Thanks in advance and congrats on the new truck!

Cheers

They rubbed just a little, especially when I still had the mudflaps (hate those things) on there. After about 2000 miles, they stopped rubbing.
Of all the things I did to the truck, that was one of the best ideas.

Ayrow - congrats and may you have many scratch and dent free miles. That is just so cool. I have solar yellow envy.

Hmm, i found the back seats of the new one more cramped then the old one. I put the seat where i would drive in it and my buddies couldn't sit well in back, with my old one they fit fine (we did a 1000 mile road trip with 3 of us).

Strange, I noticed just the opposite. More importantly, I had trouble fitting all of my kids' car seats in the back of my 1st gen, but they fit much better in the 2nd gen due to the extra width.
