XOC Stickers...

First off, members of this board are great. They have helped me out tremendously thus far. Thank you. Now on to the topic.

Where might a new member aquire one of these? I figure I'm in for the long haul so why not... not to mention my complete satisfaction being a new X owner.

We are no longer selling Xterra Owners Club stickers.

Glad I bought some when I did then. Would be interested to see another style maybe done in the future though. Maybe like an oval w/ just the letters XOC in it. Kind of like what they do for different countries and states.

my xoc decal peeled off pretty quickly... so I had my friend cut me a new one with a clear background.. looks great.

I like that picture on the front page. I have one very similar to that of my "money shot" when I was Cadet 3 years ago and got to fly in a flighter.

Flying jets is an experience like nothing you every will experience in your life. Thats why I am now a ground pounder... haha.

Bummer on the stickers. Maybe something will start up again with them. I'd be interested in heading something like that up. The only problem is I have no idea where to start.

I would be interested in stickers too. In fact there's a sticker shop around the corner that does customize stickers. Of course, I would have to own an X first, which may come very soon after my negotiation(haggling) comes to an end.

I do have a question that no on seems to know. MANY times I see circular stickers behind cars. Mainly SUV's and Jeep's. What do they mean?

Sometimes its just a plain old oval sticker with black border and it just says "M".
Or sometimes "P" or any letter really...
But I have never been able to figure out what in the world it means??
Anyone??

BTW: What do the XOC stickers look like right now?

XOC stickers look like this...



...and I have a lot of them left from the last print run.

They will be available after the site is converted over to the new board (which is taking longer than anticipated).

i8a4re, I don't know why your sticker peeled off, I've had them on my Xterra for a couple years with the only problem being some fading of the red ink.

Ian.. I think the problem is that some people on this board drive quite a bit more and are not garage kept. I know that mine did not as long as I would have liked before it faded (I did not have a pealing problem)

I'm suspecting a combination of pressure washes, and extreme changes in temperature (ie, boiling hot one day, snow the next, boiling hot the next)

These are the sample decals I got (1/2 size), all cut from one sheet, not layered vinyl. The guy is fixing up the errors in it before he cuts me the final decal.

(there's 2 decals in the picture... the "Xterra" one is going on a license plate holder.)

I have had my XOC sticker on since Feb of 2001, the red is a little faded but not peeling. I was garage kept for about a year and half till I moved to an apartment. I did notice on some members from Florida their red portions are really faded and started this poll

I have this one as well a small OBX and one from the Salty dog café.

Why dont you guys create window stickers that you can stick on from the inside? That way it resolves the peeling off issue.
And since the rear windows are tinted, you'll still be able to see the sticker but less sunlight will wear on the sticker...

That's what I was thinking too Ramness570. Just an oval w/ XOC in it. Like the oval w/ the "D" I had on my VW.

i8a4re feel free to print a sticker for your vehicle, but do not offer them to anyone else (for free or for sale), as the Xterra Owners Club logo is the property of Xterra Owners Club and protected by copyright law.

A sticker on the inside of the glass will not be visible from the outside.

The adhesive used on our stickers requires a razor blade to get off, so if it 'peeled off pretty quickly' it was probably not applied to a clean piece of glass.

Oval stickers are a nice idea, but they are only available to GOX attendees.



I may consider an oval XOC sticker in the future, but the problem is the cost, and the fact that 'everybody wants one now', but when it comes time to buy them, they flake out and don't order.

if you can give me a design, I can get some printed for you pretty cheap, or even drop ship for you. The only problem is, the sample costs about $10 (no setup fee) and after that it would probably be about $2/sticker (canadian dollars) No minimum order. I can send you a sample before you make a decision. (my friend has a cutter)

Thanks for the offer, but the designs of our stickers can't be done in cut vinyl due to the complexity of the edging.

I think a lot of those indicate which country the vehicle is from. Like IR for Ireland, or IT for Italy. I don't really understand it. Some kind of Euro thing.

Yes, they are to identify one's nationality and many don't make sense...I think Germany is a "D". (possibly that stands for Deutchland?)

personally, i don't really like those, but you are right, D is for deutschland.
oh, i made my own back in the day during high school, it was on the trooper, it said "idcwyb"
and then under those letters, it said "i don't care where you've been" and it totally looked like those stickers. basically, i am sick of seeing LKN, or OBX, or whatever stickers because i never really liked them, but that's just me and i wanted to try a little retaliation.

Just bought a sticker myself, but dunno if I'll be sticking it on the glass. I'm one of those guys that doesn't like to plaster stickers all over his vehicles.

Actually I have never been a big fan of large graphics on the front of a shirt. This is how I would like the front of the shirt to be with something funny on the rear.



Maybe with HIT IT HARDER! on the back.

There is nothing wrong with the stickers, I Belive mine was from the original run and has been on my truck since then. No fading, no garage, northeast temps and winters

OK, I ordered stickers the other day, but now I want a t-shirt. Actually, I'd probably buy 2 or 3. I like the design with the logo small on the front, then either nothing on the back or one of the larger designs that were pictured. I'd definitely buy some.

I like this idea too depending on what was on the back, but I think just the symbol on the front and nothing on the back would be ok too.

I think something about..."Don't talk to me about gas mileage but it's made in Tennesee, USA."

Anyone know if the Xterra logo is copyright?... I'm thinking of getting a bunch of those made up.

Most likely Nissan owns the copyright to the Xterra logo. I am sure they don't mind for most part, but if it gets too big... :rolleyes:

add yet one more to the list that will order a T or two if there is a small logo on the front and larger statement or nothing on back.

I have my XOC on my buldge but went to Michaels and bouth the adhesive magnetic strip and cut it to fit the sticker.
So now its just basically a big fridge magnet on the back of my truck.

Received my stickers today and boy oh boy, they are neat! One of them will definitely make it on the X and another in my scrapbook
