front grill brush guard - 21/02/08 02:26 AM

Anybody got any wisdom on how the two 2.5 inch holes in the Xterra front bumper for the brush guard brackets affect the vehicle at highway speeds?

I don't think I want dirt, wind, water, etc. blasting into the engine compartment thru these holes at highway speed.

There's already PLENTY of wind and water coming in through the radiator...

The better question is why would you want one in the first place? They're useless adornments and tend to cause more damage in an impact than without. Read up here, plenty of stories.

Welcome to the XOC [Wave]
It's your X of course to do w/ what you'd like, but 'ol Brent's right  .. Most here refer to brush guards as "damage multipliers".

I am assuming you are asking this question because you either have taken the brush guard off or are planning on taking it off.

Like OffroadX stated, there is a ton of holes in the front already, so those two should not add or effect it any worse.
