shrockworks slider question - 16/05/07 05:14 PM
I am ready for my next evolution of my x and I have a question on the shrockworks slider.
Since I dont have the opportunity to see one firsthand, and photos are not that clear to me, what I want to know, is this.
I am tall, and dont really use my stock side rails now, for either getting in or out, but the wife is a shorty, and she must have the side rails.
If I replace with the sliders they seem to be curved upwards. Am I seeing this wrong? , because if they are any higher then the stock ones, the wife might have a problem.
Also, do they stick out further? That would be a plus, as the nissan ones, as you know dont stick out so much.
Also, if I understand it, after installing the sliders, I can use the hi lift right on the slider, and lift the entire side on x at once, and this would definatley facilitate changing a tire or rotating tire?
One further question. I notice there is a 25 dollar option to get the additional supporting bracket on the slider. Why would one not get it? and if so, why doesnt it just come standard with it, since its suppossed to be a heavy duty option?
Much thanks for all my questions and stay safe.
