old but new - 02/06/06 01:15 PM

I got my X a year ago. The only thing it lacks is 4-wheel drive. Don't look at me like that, I bought it used smile . Anyway, over the last year I have fallen in love with this truck...despite it's lacking 4x4-ness. I think I'll keep it forever...unless I get stuck in the mud...then I won't have any way to get it home. Did I mention I don't have 4 wheel drive?

Hi. [Wave]

Sorry about the whole 4x2 thing. I'm sure that living with a 4x2 can sometimes be stressfull and you may wonder why you were dealt this burdon.

I've never been in your situation before but just try to keep in mind that 4x2's are "special" and it is still a truck and needs mud too. With time it will become easier. laugh

My X was a 4x2... back in the day, I was one of the few that advocated 4x2 Wheeling and the potential for 'Built' 4x2's...

this was in the pre-XOC days.

It's now 6.5 years later and there are several built up 4x2's... it brings a tear to my eye. smile

Nevermind the nay-sayers, the 4x2 X is quite capable and with the right modifications can become downright impressive.

the important thing is that you love your X... because it loves you.

Oh yeah, did I mention I sold My X to buy an Jeep 4x4? wait nevermind that because I'm currently selling the Jeep because I just bought a 4x2 Nissan Frontier...

Have run, stay safe and for the love of god keep the rubber side down.
