The crank won't hold together with that much power. They are good for up to about 350 hp reliably. If he wanted to build a more powerful engine and make it reliable then he should build a 3.4.
http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/february05/pathfinder/ I plan on doing one eventually. It just takes about 5 grand and some time. That engine is good for about 300/300 and should be very reliable.

I'm confused. Was he being serious? Why would anyone want to even attempt 450HP w/ such a gutless motor? It would PROBABLY be easier and/or cheaper to just swap in a VQ35 out of a junked z or even an older VG30DET.
