It says my 04 got 279 miles per tank. HAH. I've never got more than 230 and that was really trying everything I could to keep the mileage up. If I ever saw 17 mpg w/ that truck..even just once I would have kept it. All I know is..the milan gets me 445 miles before the next fill up..

If I had a 36 gallon tank I could get about 440 miles out a tank too...telling me your Milan gets 445 miles per tank means absolutely nothing, unless it's the exact same tank.

It means plenty. It's justification to myself for trading the damn thing in.

You drive your truck until the tank is empty? [Huh?]

I guess that saves on the math. [LOL]

Comparision of my new Toyota versus the old Xterra

I average better than what they are reporting.

Re: Fuel economy website - 17/05/08 10:30 PM

It's pretty accurate for me, I get 300 miles on 17 gallons, so just over 17mpg. My drive to work is exactly 25 miles of combined City Streets & about 10 miles of Freeway.

Cost to Drive 25 Miles - $5.47. Ouch - not getting any better either. $3.59 today, $3.39 last week, so by the end of June we'll be sitting on $4.00/gal I imagine. Oil sure as hell ain't getting any cheaper.

My little 4Banger 4Runner gets pretty good gas mileage right now, but next weekend she gets some armor welded on, so the poor girl is getting heavier and less economical week by week laugh

Re: Fuel economy website - 19/05/08 06:49 AM

Sounds about right to me.

Combined: 19 mpg
Cost to Drive 25 Miles $5.18
Fuel to Drive 25 Miles 1.32 gal
Cost of a Fill-up $76.95
Miles on a Tank 371 miles
Tank Size 21.7 gal
Annual Fuel Cost* $3109

Yeah, can't say I don't regret it. It was a smart choice but...meh. If we ever get gas prices under control again and they stabilize I'll be back in a truck..probably not an X but def. something..
