On Saturday May 10th, letter carriers in...nger every day.
It's an annual food drive sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Contact your local post office and verify that it is participating in the food drive.
Helping out is easy - all you need to do is place a bag (or multiple bags) of nonparishable food items (canned meat and fish, canned soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice - please no items that are expired or in glass conatiners) next to your mailbox in the morning on ther 10th.
Your letter carrier will pick up the food items along with any outgoing mail, and the post offices will deliver that food to local food banks.
