X-box Power cord hazard - 23/02/05 04:48 PM
Some X-box power cords are being recalled because of fire hazards. Put in your serial number and x-box b-day and find out if you need a new one.
If you do they send it too you free of charge.

I think it applies to earlier built boxes. Mine was manufactured in '04 and didn't require a power cord change.

nah. it's mainly for those damn europeans. Ever seen their electric plugs? It's like you just take two wires, strip 'em, and stick them in the wall.
That, and the wiring in a lot of old-europe wouldn't meet any sort of code....
I'm surprised more things don't catch fire or explode over there...

Got mine in the mail the other day. It has a mini breaker built in to the plug. Very nice, though I don't feel any safer.
