Damn... Who the hell am I gonna pick as my #1 QB for fantasy next year!!! Hhehehehehe... IMHO, a sad day for NFL fans... I'm not a Packer fan per'se, but I do love to watch Favre play on the field...

Hmmm... i'll believe it when the 08 season begins and he's not on Lambeau Field.

Helluva career.

You could argue that he never was the "best" quarterback in the league (just look who he played with throughout his career), but he was definitely among 'em. He's top 20 all-time, and a sure-fire Hall of Famer.

Sure, he made mistakes and more than a few boneheaded mistakes, but he often made up for those by making many a "WTF? How the hell did he do that?" type of plays.

He'll be missed.

He was a gunslinger, just having fun out there, playing the game the way it was supposed to be played.

Sorry, if you hear something repeated on TV enough times you can't help but parrot it yourself when the subject's name is brought up.

WTF? Out of all his "Is he going to retire" years, I thought for sure he was going to come back this year now that he knows that he has the team around him. I also didn't think he'd go out like that... throwing the game losing pick.

Just a couple days ago, the Packers had this on their website for like 30 minutes and took it down. Hmmmmm.

Actually they just had a template with a headline and no text. Many organizations use so-called "dark" sites or pages that aren't usually accessible but are ready for quick use when time is of the essence. One example is airlines that keep pages ready should an accident occur.

So goes another childhood hero for many... sad day.
