2001 SE ac recirculation button/switch

On my 2001 SE when I push the air circulation button it doesn't light up and I can't hear the door switch over to recirculated air. I think that the door is stuck on fresh air. I wouldn't mind if it was stuck on recirculated air but I would like to have everything working correctly. Any suggestions?

I had to replace the actuator for mine, got one from a junker as they're very much NLA. It's rather a PITA to do
