Interested in a whitewater rafting trip?

This topic is to poll interest in an NCCX whitewater rafting trip this summer. If there is enough interest here, an official trip will be organized.

The trip would take place on the Merced River and would cost approx $178/pp for a group of 6 or more, $170/pp for 12 or more, and $160/pp for 24 or more people. Lodging and/or camping in nearby Midpines or Mariposa may constitute an additional cost.

In order to schedule the trip so it does not conflict with outings already on the NCCX calendar , here are some potential dates to consider:

August 16 or 17
September 13 or 14
September 20 or 21

To clarify a little bit, is this a wheeling trip? Or is it more like you go there, raft, camp, then home?

Or if you could link me the thread so I could read on my own.

Whitewater rafting. No wheeling. Go there, camp/motel, raft, go home. It's a way for NCCX members to socialize with each other in an environment other than 4-wheeling. Members need not even use their Xterras if they have an alternative means of transportation.

For August 16 or 17 I thought there was a wheeling trip to Deer Valley?

It's still tentative, but that's one of the reasons I prefer a date in September so there's absolutely no conflict.

However, based on the weak response to this thread, I'm guessing there aren't many who are interested anyway.
