According to local papers - a new In N Out is proposed in San Leandro. Right at the 880/238 junction. smile

Well sorry fellas I will not be able to attend I won't be arriving in San Fran till the 15th. I definitely look forward to meeting you guys. If you ever need helping installing anything or even doing an SAS just let me know. If it can be done to an X It's been done to mine lol.

On a side note do yall get any attitude for having lifted trucks with big tires from the locals.

Not really. I wouldn't necessarily call a lifted X a monster truck. Gotta remember, this is California - the land of BLING.

I've seen F250's, Dodge Ram's and other trucks with 37" super swampers and 8" lifts around from time to time, and the only thing I usually say about them is when they're going 80+ mph on th freeway, I say "I guess they don't care about gas prices too much..."

Re: It's back! Eat and Greet, Mon. Jan 9th - 07/01/06 01:54 PM

LOL not a monster truck just Solid Axle conversion 33's, a snorkel, tire rack arb etc. I was just thinking the hard core greenies might flip me off or something. I had an incident in phoenix where someone was trying to put one of those "I am destroying the earth" stickers on my truck.

I have a used set of IPF 960 off-road lights that I will bring to meet if anyone is interested.

They are in good used condition.

I will be there to eat & greet. smile

Maybe even kick around getting a date set for a "work on our trucks day" as Ive got calmini shackles and a 2" lift needing to be put on sometime before 4crawler creates my sliders. And quite frankly im skiddish about working on it alone. [Uh Oh !] confused

See ya there. [Wave]

As always, my garage and lift is available for this if you need it. Pick a day (Saturdays anytime or Sunday afternoons); my calendar is blank so far.

Huey, I might be interested in the lights. How far do they throw? I'm looking for something to light up the windy roads of Hwy120 through yosemite. I was thinking a pencil beam type, but I'm not sure.

If you are looking for a pencil beam, then these will be perfect for you. The only problem being that they are 130w (HUGE light throw, but NOT quite street legal) but if you only turned them on when no one was around you will be fine, just remember you can blind someone quite well with these laugh .

Well, not sure if I can make the meeting tonight (might have to work late), so if somebody wants to buy them let them have it.

I still need to decide whether my enthusiasm for them is an impulse buy (Geoff is sitting right here trying to get me to buy them) or whether I really want them. laugh

Impulse...shimpulse. He knows he wants them, at this point he is just denying his inner enthusiasm. I am trying Huey.

Better yet he should get them and store them my place until his bumper is ready.

Pay no attention to Geoff. He's just trying to get even with me for getting him to buy his truck.

Sure of course I am. More importantly I want him to get that darn rig on the trail. Who cares what it costs...

[LOL] This is true, they ARE very bright!

Steve, if no one buys them tonight I'll hold them for you. Otherwise they go on CraigsList.

BTW, Geoff you need to get him to purchase more then just a few lights to get even for the truck, let me see what else I have to sell! laugh

Well, I was surprised when Steve asked today if he could store parts he accumulates at my place like Toy axles and chevy springs. A new set of springs would be nice What else do you want to sell that I can take from him?

hmm...let's see... laugh

I have a jerry can holder for a rear tire carrier if either of you are interested. It's for the passenger side and will require a 2" square tube mounted at a 45* angle. Never used--$75

It's this one

Thank you for the offer! I am busy this weekend. Can we plan tentatively on next saturday the 21st maybe 9or10ish am?

anyone else have some things to do to their rigs?

Re: It's back! Eat and Greet, Mon. Jan 9th - 10/01/06 11:06 AM

How come you're selling everything, Huey?

I would imaging Geoff would need an extra gas tank considering the mileage his V8 gets, but I don't think he's too concerned about it.

Oh, and I'll take the lights...hold on to them for me.
