Was the main water crossing at Deer Valley deep enough to warrant any special maintenance?

I’ve read any time you submerge your bearings, you should repack them. Having said that. I’ve submerged mine many times without re-packing them and when I finally did, the grease was still in good condition. Just my two cents worth. I personally won't repack them just because of this last DV trip.

Normal bearing maintinence is every 30k miles, but I do mine every other year or so depending on how often I've been through water (above my hubs).

Like Gary said no need to if this is your only trip with a water crossing. I'd just recommend that you do them more often then recommended as you wheel your X more then the average Xterra owner.
