I have a Calmini bumper for my 2005 X. Have not seen one on the boards. I could use some help putting it on. And take some pictures. Out on a business trip this week back on 27 Jan. I'm good for a pizza or two also.

Haha, yeah, Mark told me "one of my Xterra buddies came by and said 'Hey, that's Dean's truck!' ". He was surprised that my truck was that recognizable. (Duh! Who ELSE has a modified R50 in California?!) I asked what color the Xterra was, and after he said "silverish" I figured it was you.

The bumper is done. It's been powdercoated and is ready to install, but Mark wants to take some measurements on it so that in the future, he'll be able to build more of them without needing a vehicle. Hopefully he'll be done taking the measurements on Monday, and it'll get installed on Tuesday.

What's up guys. This is a little off your topic, But can someone give me the width of an 05' X leaf spring?

- I haven't put a bumper on a 05 yet but I'd be happy to lend a hand.

Sorry guys, been really busy lately.

How about next weekend, either 2/3 or 2/4? BTW, Andy have you read the instructions for the SLR lift? Might be a bit more then we can handle in one day?

I'll be helping a guy install a lift on his Pathfinder on (tentatively) Saturday 2/3 at my house. I was figuring it would take about 5 hours with just the two of us for front/rear springs, struts, and shocks. With more help, it would probably be faster. If you guys want to do the mod day at my place instead of Huey's, you're welcome to come.

Hey Dean, that might be closer for everyone if you are cool with it? I can head over to your place to help out instead.

I've got an extra set that has been sitting in my garage for months. Brand new in box and perfect for doing oil changes. I'll bring them by in case someone wants them.

Thanks for the lift to OSH, much appreciated! Did you bring your Truck in to have them look at that front sway bar bushing? I think that may be your problem. If the rigs still under Factorranty I'd have them replace it.

will do! - "hopefully" will be taking it in this week to have the airbags fixed (from the break in, long story) at Steven's Creek - that bushing make the most sense.

Oh!, and forgot to say earlier - Thanks Dean for hosting great shop, and love that lift \ very cool...

I was happy to host! Seems kinda selfish of me to not share my "tools".

I just wanted to say thanks for all of your help with my Pathy! I was really stoked with the positive vibe and sense of humor everyone had, DESPITE the frustration caused by just 2 bolts. I really appreciated all of your help and knowledge.

As Dean was saying, I probably would have been screwed if I took my truck to a regular garage to have the lift installed. I learned a lot. Good times! hehehe...

It was nice meeting you all...and I hope to join you guys on an outing or two perhaps...nothing hardcore though. I'll start off by driving over my front lawn. :p

Perhaps I'll head down to Hollister to play in the dirt after I've sorted out the random clunking sounds and alignment on my rig.

Ah, what are you complaining about? Where you live, you'll probably be able to afford a 2500sqft house with a 3-car heated garage!

Haa...haa... Yeah... My complaining will stop once we buy a house...hopefully later this year.

3-car heated garage + basement + AC + blah, blah, blah...sound good.

I don't know, the necessity of a heated garage might be better than the necessity of an air conditioned garage. While looking at houses out here in Arizona I did find one that had an air conditioned garage.

Well, My X will finally be ready to pick up from Spencer Low Racing on Wednesday, May 9th.

I look forward to getting it back...Jason & Jeff from SCCX are going to meet me at SLR to see my rig & do lunch...Then we plan to head out to give my X a little test run...

I'm not sure exactly where we'll be going but it'll be around Calico Ghost Town...I'll keep you posted when I get back :-)
