Hello, Just moved here to NC from South Florida.
I believe that is a law in FL as well.
It's not as if they don't get any rain there or anything.

It certainly makes sense and not a surprise for some states where rainy days are not rare. People here don't even know how to drive in the rain. [LOL]

i have known about this law for a while now .... i mean it makes sence .... but i think it's just another source of revenue.... another reason for the police to nab you... anywayz... i was watching the news last night and the fuzz were actually busting people yesterday, in martinez, for not following the new law. so mind your p's & q's cuz johnny law is out there .... and he could be lookin for you.

It's one of those laws that on the books to help increases safety. I'm sure those martinez cops were giving out speeding tickets to the same drivers.

Who in California slows to 55 when it rains? I do, but I'm then proceeded to be run off the road.

Re: Rain = headlights on - 02/12/05 04:51 PM

Like I mentioned before, this one's irrelevant since I've always turned my lights on when it's raining. I was running errands yesterday around 2:30pm when it was pouring and I figure at least a third of the drivers around didn't have their lights on.

Of course, being the cynic that I am, I assume that of those who did have their lights on, many didn't actually turn them on themselves, but rather it was just dark enough for their autoheadlights to engage. Hehe.
