About to buy need a good trail - 17/04/05 04:42 PM

So I'm about to buy a 2000 Xterra SE v6 3.3 Manual 4x4. I live around El Dorado Hills/Cameron Park/Placerville. What are some good places to take my X off roading?

So, what kind of "off roading" would you be interested in? Off the pavement, dirt road? Off the dirt road, a trail w/ some manageable obstacles? Or, you want to go to Rubicon? wink

Start with some dirt and then on to manageable obstacles. I can't afford to trash an x on the rubicon wink

As soon as I can find the right one in my area. SE 3.3v6 Manual 4x4 hopefully in yellow. I've seen them for sale in my price range but they are thousands of miles away.

What does you're X look like? I saw one running
around Roseville about a month ago...looked like it was on some black rockcrawler type wheels and lifted.

On a side note I may be heading up to foresthill next weekend to to test my pathy and let the kids play in the snow before its all gone. It's stock friendly up there. I post up if I'm going for sure.

sounds like you saw me. Its a 00 yellow xterra on 35"s, with a snorkel. Does that ring a bell.

I will have my truck up in Shingle Springs at the nissan dealer sometime next week for service, my rear main seal and right manifold are leaking. Fun!!!!!. :p

BMF, If you want to check my truck out to get some ideas let me know..

That's the one. I was leaving work at the automall and saw you on lead hill. I remember the snorkel, but you were a couple cars behind me and couldn't tell what size tires you were running looking thru my Titan's mirrors...nice looking X [ThumbsUp]

I'll keep an eye out for you. I work over at Future Ford in the mall so I'm out in that area all the time.
