WA Tabs - 03/02/03 07:40 PM
I know hardly anyone uses this forum, but I'll try anyway.
Got my registration slip today, $115.50, compared to $120 last year. Funny thing is our 98 Ranger is only $86, 02 Altima isn't due for a while and a neighbors 01 civic is $97. Both the X and Ranger are trucks, so there shouldn't be a difference there, all are the same zip and everything. Slip doesn't register a weight, so that shouldn't be it. What gives?
The car tab it self is $30, so the price of the vehicle shouldn't make a difference. Of the total amount, $67 is for sound transit, compared to $27 for the ranger.

I dont really have any comments on the registration fees but Great Pics. I didn't want you to feel left out and not have any responses. I really think we should use this forum more often

there shouldn't be a difference, both are trucks under 6k lbs.
Thanks for the comment on the pics, they're old though, time to go out and play in the snow again.

When I lived in Oregon - $26 for 2 years, no matter what I was driving.
Moved to California - I think my first year on my new X was like $350 or something. Nice, huh?

Viper, I think I paid $106 last fall. I figure King County would be higher? Guess we have to pay for the Light Rail and Antitree-hugger doesn't!

Yep. King, pierce and Snohomish have to pay the Sound Transit tax. I-776 is supposed to nullify the tax, but it is being challenged on consitutional grounds from what I understand. So for now we PS folks have to pay for a practically worthless project from a fine example of Puget Sound bureaucracy.

If you guys check this forum again let me know some info about your organization. I just bought an X a week ago and love it. I live in everett and am debating on the fact of to lift my X or not for a more serious, capable rig. I've never had a 4x4 before so I may be getting addicted to dirt soon.

The $3.00 difference might be the difference between mailing it in and doing it in person. You always have to pay extra if you do it in person.
