Poker Run Aftermath - 20/03/04 05:16 PM
THANKS to all who came out! That was one of the biggest turn outs for an event I have seen!
Congrats to all who won something. Glenn, you cleaned house!
Thanks to Dan, Jason Goode, and all the rest for their efforts in making this happen.
Most of all, thanks to our sponsors and locations for donating the following...
Hooters: Calendar, hat, shirt, playing cards
4WheelParts Dallas: Hi-lift Jack and 3"x30' tow strap
Courtesy Nissan: 'cool' bandanas for everyone
4WheelParts Plano: Rancho accident kit (included jumper cables, strap, wratched straps, gloves and other stuff)
ProComp: Driving lamps, tow straps, receiver shackles, spot lights
Fox and Hound: Wings, skins, chips, Free Dinner For Two, 2 Free BBQs, 3 parties, and 4 free hours of pool.
This event rocked. Hopefully we can swing another before the term is out!
Pics will be up as soon as feasible.

I had a great time - traffic could have been better but that's just Dallas...
I'm very excited about the Hi Lift jack specifically... it works great!

Oh, hey, Glenn, super cool of you to dish out some of the stuff you won. Truly gracious man.

Yes, good times indeed!
Drank a couple Crown and Cokes, Got a few goodies and finally got to put faces to all the names.
Personally I think Glenn was using some kind of Voodoo or something with all the winning he was doing.
Thanx to Tracey for leading the way up there and thanx to Scott and Dan for setting this up. Must have been a lot of work to get everything in order. Oh and thanx to Brian for the use of the spare radio.
Anyway, Had a great time and can't wait till the next event. Maybe I'll be able to get some more sleep before the next event and I'll be a little more talkative. Those who decided not to go definetly missed out.
Thanks to those who set it up and donated items. Misty and I had a really great time.
Dan, whenever you are ready for a rematch in pool, let me know.

So who won what?
I won a whole bunch of games of pool.
The only thing I won was an hour of pool. Although, Brian gave me his Party at FnH. Wings, Potatoe skins, chips and salsa and two more hours of pool. Glen won everything.

ummm... well since you ask:
Stop 1 - Hooters: Robert won
Stop 2 - 4 Wheel Parts Dallas:
Hi lift jack,
3" recovery strap
Stop 3 - Courtesy Nissan:
12V spot light (gave away later)
Stop 4 - 4 Wheel Parts Plano:
Vehicle emergency kit - didn't want to be an ass - so it went to the second high cardholder - Brian
Stop 5 - Fox & Hound:
Receiver shackle
Titan poster
Titan hat
Pair of 55W offroad lights
2" recovery strap (gave away)
FnH BBQ dinner for 10
FnH Dinner for 2
12V spot light
ummm.. I think that's it. Somebody suggest a date for the BBQ dinner for 10 and we can all go (or at least 10 of us...) together.

Re: Poker Run Aftermath - 22/03/04 08:17 AM
FnH actually ended up giving away more than they told me they would. I was surprised.
There were 2 BBQ dinners for 10, a dinner for two card, 3 Happy Hour Parties for 10-20 (with chips, salsa, wings, skins and pool) + several free pool and appetizer cards.
Everyone (that I am aware of) walked away with something.

I have been so busy at work i haven't had a chance to post the pics. I will see if I can find a hosting site or if someone can post them on our site, shoot me an email and I'll figure out a way to get them to ya this weekend.

Re: Poker Run Aftermath - 26/03/04 08:54 AM
If you send them to me, I can host them temporarily... for a month or so, if needed... Kraig@aptsaus.com... this is my business email, so please everybody, nothing else!
If you would sign up at TNT, you could post your own pics there.
I could post them there for you, but i wouldn't be able to do it until Sunday or Monday.
Did you decide if you are going to Barnwell?

I appreciate the offer, but the server our website is on (
www.swxc.org) has a ton of space, and is free for us to use. All people gotta do is send the pics to Carlton.

Re: Poker Run Aftermath - 26/03/04 12:24 PM
Hrm - that would be an interesting one... I'd bet Jason's got him on strength and weight.... but Kraig's more likely to go into a berserker and kill everyone...
We'll have to stick to an Xterra tug-of-war to keep the bloodshed down
What, you calling me a fatso, Glen? I'll take you on after I'm done with Craig

Re: Poker Run Aftermath - 26/03/04 04:42 PM
Carlton, do you need the pics re-sized at all? They are at 1600x1200.
640x480 would be nice (smaller e-mail and such) but if you do not have a way to compress them then I can do it
Posted by: RReuscher
Re: Poker Run Aftermath - 27/03/04 08:59 PM
Or you could leave them full sized, put them on a CD (or give me an site) and I can add them to the other set.

Just had my Take-Out BBQ lunch prize from F&H. I'm the most popular person in the office today.
Thanks again Scott & Daniel for setting up a great event with great prizes.

If I may ask, since you do not work close to FnH, did they deliever, you go and get, or did the office make an outing to FnH?

Re: Poker Run Aftermath - 01/04/04 11:53 AM
The flyer said it was for take out, and delivery was not available, plus not available on Saturday or Sunday. So I went and got it and brought it back to work. To facilitate the process, I just worked from home this morning until it was time to get it, then picked up the food on the way in.
You might get an ass beating if you show up for all the shit ya give me.
Never did get around to that ass whoopin. Maybe next time.
