Katemcy - 10/01/05 10:52 AM

From Shain at Katemcy...

We are looking at possibly opening up the weekend of Feb 26-27. The
Southern High Rollers from Houston have indicated they would like to come
then and can commit at least 10 rigs. Would any of your group be
interested in that weekend? If we get enough folks committed, we can open.

Thanks,
Shain C.

If you are interested AND CAN COMMIT TO GOING (ie no backing out), we can try and work something out. We need to get 20 rigs though to go with the 10 from Houston (though I did ask if we only got 10 more would they open for 20 total)...

Looks ok to me. Only thing I'm worried about though isn't Megarun the weekend after this?

Re: Katemcy - 10/01/05 12:59 PM

I just talked with Shain...

ALL WE NEED IS 10 TRUCKS

(the other quota will be filled by the Houston guys - now at 15 - and possibly Cowtowners)

If we can do this, I would much rather go here than Shiloh Ridge on the 19th...

Please respond if you WILL go on the 26th.

I'll be there and I want to try and talk a new local Jeep club to come with us.
The more the merrier!!!!

Editing my post... was in a pissy mood when I posted originally I guess. These guy may come with a few of their trucks. Hopefully we can ride a trail or two with them.

Sure is nice to see somebody here in Waco that actually hits the trails!!!!

Re: Katemcy - 11/01/05 04:55 AM

I already gave my word for doing a wedding....which is a horriable disappointment. If I can find a replacment then I will go, but that is not likely. I really need to go to katemcy frown

Abiel,

Tell Waldo his phone provider will not allow messages to be left on his voice mail. I tried calling him, but got something to the effect of 'subscriber is unable to accept messages at this time'.

I have also replied to his emails, but he never wrote back...

I changed an earlier post as I spoke out of line about the local Jeep club and their trucks... meant no harm and looking forward to seeing if they can show.

Re: Katemcy - 07/02/05 10:10 AM

For those of you have been before at Katemcy, which trails / areas are "X Rated"?
Posted by: Ramstein92

Re: Katemcy - 07/02/05 10:51 AM

Aggie Highway and Cotton Bails for sure. The big thing though is you can pretty much pick your own trail and make it as easy or as difficult as you wish, so to say one is X Rated and one is not is not entirely accurate.

I'd stay off of Waterfall. You just don't have the approach angle to make this first obstacle and there is no bypass. I guess you could take a look at it, but I don't see how it could be done. It even gave some of the locked jeeps with 35's a problem.

Re: Katemcy - 17/02/05 07:27 AM

Get a decent place to camp by the trees (preferrably with a fire pit already built). There are now 40 rigs signed up, and we do not want to be stuck in the open with the cow patties (seriously).

I will be leaving between 4-5AM on Sat to get there by 0900. Cannot come on Friday night as I will be getting back from Toronto, eh.
