BBQ for all Breeds ???

BBQ for all Breeds ??? - 05/08/09 09:25 PM

OK, most of us wheel or associate with all breeds of trucks, not so one specific type of truck or people . So I am proposing a Texas get together of all of past and present. I have and I am sure you have too lost contact with a lot of GR8 people. So I am offering up a “Get Together” of like people with like interests. I am posting this on each board I am associated with. So Jeeps, Nissans, Toyota’s, Mitsubishi’s and even Suzuki’s wink … sorry if I left you out wink

I have a planned trip to Yellowstone the first week in October so I propose a BBQ to celebrate Halloween . Not Halloween weekend but the weekend before. Saturday Oct. 24th so we can still enjoy the Halloween with family and friends.

I will supply the food you just show up. Even bring a costume (Glen) so we can have some fun. I have enough space for most of you. If interest is enough I will cater most of the BBQ. That way I can mingle… You all can bring the fixins! Anybody can camp on my property or crash in the house or my RV… past BBQ’s we have had a good crowd.

I really miss seeing and wheeling with a lot of you!! Some have come and gone… so if you still have contact with them… shoot them an email and ask them about attending.

I am in Waco area so somewhat centraly located

If I am “Day Dreaming” oh well some of us can still have fun!!!!

Give me your .02

Believe me guys I'd love to do this but looks like our future wheeler may be coming about that time. Due date is the 15th but I REALLY don't think we're gonna be able to wait out that long.

Sounds interesting... I have to check my show schedule. Got enough room for a tent?

How's this looking. I set that weekend (24-25 Oct) aside... no show, no shop, no work.

What do we need to bring?

Jeff!

I'm all up for this, but I'm awaiting approval for shoulder surgery. If they schedulesurgery BEFORE this weekend, I won't be able to make it. The female unit REFUSES to drive the X. If things drag out like they usually do with Comp. cases, I should be OK, as they are saying 4-5 weeks ( 2 weeks for approval of the Orthopedist, 2 weeks for approval of the surgery) bafore the procedure. Fingers are crossed...

In case any X owners want the aux. reverse lights like I've done on mine, I'll bring my hole saw. I just need a call BEFORE NOON ON FRIDAY so I can get the grommets and lights if needed. I'll only cut the holes and pop in the grommets. Owner has to do the wiring!

Here's what mine look like:

I'll pass the parts on at my cost, which is:
Grommet only(you supply light)$2 ea. ($4 per pair)
Grommet and plastic light... $15 ea. ($30 per pair)
Grommet and 18 LED light.... $35 ea. ($70 per pair)
Sealed beam (glass)spot bulb $10 ea (plus grommet)($24 per pr)
Sealed beam (glass)flood bulb $8 ea (plus grommet)($22 per pr)

You can pay me at the BBQ on Sat. I'll cut the holes for free.
REMEMBER!! I NEED TO KNOW BY NOON FRIDAY!!!(956)227-6621

Also as some of you may have figured out I'm also a knifemaker. I'll have some of my hand made knives there also. Just thought I'd mention it.
