You'll need to clarify this location. Do you want to go to Los Coyotes (the Indian Reservation) or Coyote Canyon in Anza Borrego?
Big difference- the Indian Reservation has been closed to offroaders for a few years now.
Here's a website link that hasn't been changed in a few years.

There was a big controversy over this a few years ago. There were claims of offroaders driving over Sacred Burial grounds, and leaving trash.
I miss this place because it was a bit cooler than going to Anza Borrgeo. It's just one less place to go to, especially since Corral Canyon is closed after the fire.
