Hello from USS John C. Stennis

Hello from USS John C. Stennis - 22/03/07 07:58 AM

SCCX! How are you all doing?

Things here in the North Arabian Sea while stationed on the USS John C. Stennis are going pretty well. Carrier Air Wing Nine is flying missions in support of ground troops in Afghanistan. We are staying busy with the Taliban insurgence ramping up for the offensive.

Anyhow, I miss the Xterra Xcursions, the great weather and scenery, and especially the friends. It will be nice to hit the trail when I get back in September.

If you’re interested you can e-mail me at:

Travis, nice to hear from you. Glad to hear you're doing well.

Like Bobby said, we'll have to set up a welcome home party/run when you get back. By that time we'll be experienced at it, as we're going to have one for Eric in May. I think these will all be at Dan's house. laugh

Take care, stay safe, and thanks for being there.

Hi Travis! Wow, its been 20 years since I was in the North Arabian Sea. Does it still look the same, all wet and stuff. Good luck out there and know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. If there is anything we can send you from stateside let me know. Thanks for your service.

This might sound kinda random, but thanks for putting your life on the line to protect us.

(It's sad how people seem to forget that whether or not you support the war, our people are still there and they deserve our support. You guys are awesome! You name the place...I'll be the first person in line with a cold beer, a handshake, and a sincere "Thank You for all that you've done".)

Travis, stay safe but try to have some fun too. Life's too short to not have some fun.

It's good to hear from you all. Thanks for setting up an Xcursion for my return. Looking forward to getting back stateside.

Things have been a bit busy lately with operations from the two carrier strike groups in the Arabian Gulf putting the pressure on Iran to release the captured British Marines and Sailors.

Lets hope that the pressure works...

Take care. Miss you all. Thanks again for the support.

Cheers,
Travis

Ahoy shipmate! [Wave]

I too have done the Gonzo Station/Persian Gulf Yacht Club ... too many times to count. OK 8 times. Be careful and give them hell.

Aloha, Travis!

Long time, no talk man. How is it landing that flying barn on the Stennis? laugh Take care of yourself over there and watch your six. God bless and watch over your air crew and shipmates. We'll see you soon.

Travis,

If you see my buddy Trevor Hartsock give him a yell. He is an F-18 pilot with the Blue Dimands from LeMoore. He is a good Xterra man!
We appreciate the job that all you guys are doing. Keep up the good work! J.D. in Ohio
