Problems searching ?

not sure if its me (probably is) but when I do a search more than half the links dont work. I get a message that says

"You have requested a topic that does not exist!"

one of the links was less than 3months old. why is this? is there a way to view old links?
what am I missing.

I haven't got an answer, but I can at least say that that happens to me all the time too.

I haven't updated the search index in a while, but posts get pruned. That will lead to links to files which are no longer available.

Post pruning is ok, but if thats the case, then maybe we should try to lay off people asking questions that have been covered, and asking them if they even tried searching first. Every search I've tried gets me the same message...

I did a search and one of the topics was from march and I got the

anyway to keep topics around for atleast 6months?
