Avatars?

Can this forum support avatars, or are they just disabled at the moderator's request?

Stuff like this has been asked, and they will tell you that the site is maximized for fast response, so no avatars or global searches.

I guess I get spoiled by my high-speed connnection.

The reason they are disabled is to lessen strain on the server hosting XOC. The site runs faster and is less cluttered without them.

but it would be sooo much more fun
