All I want for Xmas is a search that works!

Hi All,

The search feature on this website is crippled! Almost any search I do will return posts that "do not exist" when you try to read them. Are these deleted threads?

Example: Search for "rpm at speed". It will return 32 results in the general forum and only 4 of the topics are readable!

So XOC administrators and website guru's, Happy Holidays and please fix the search before the '05 owners get here and ask all the same questions that have been covered before. While we are at it, can we search all forums at once?

PS: I would have searched to see if this had been brought up before but I hardly see the point.

If you would have searched this forum, you would have found Ian's answer that due to volume he doesn't retain all posts in all forums - and I believe general is one of them. I think he also throws away posts in the club house and the tailgate after a certain amount of time due to space issues as well.

The data is there somewhere, its showing up in the search results!

If the topic isn't going to open, it should be ommitted from the search results.

again, if you searched this forum, all would become clear
