t-case fluid - 23/09/04 06:42 AM

I need to know which brand of synthetic tranny fluid can be used in the t-case of a 2002 X.

If you see this Brent, at one time there was a whole thread about changing both diffs fluids and the t-case fluid. It had how to do it and the amts needed. I did the research and know the amounts need, thank you autozone website, however a refresher on exactly how to do it would be nice. The reason I am asking you Brent is because I believe you are the one who posted all that information.

I have done this on 2 different Xterra's but that was over 2 years ago and I don't want to forget anything since it is not my truck.

TIA

I used Mobil 1 ATF, though I'm sure Amsoil, Redline, or any other is just as suitable. Nissan seems to prefer ATF, but you can also use 75W90 GL-4 gear oil. If I recall, Cyclemut recently posted somewhere that he prefers gear oil over ATF.

Damn Skippy he is! [ThumbsUp]

I wish more folks would learn to do the maintenances themselves. The more a person knows about their truck, the better a person tends to take care of it.

I did 90% of the maintenance on my X when I had it. My friend deranger does 90% of his maintenance and I usually help. The X I am working on is my mom's. It is 2002 XE.
