SLR Large Bore Throttle Plate

I know that the throttle plate is not CARB approved, and thus not legal in California. How, though, would a standard SMOG check be able to determine that you have switched throttle plates? Isn't it basically the same thing, with the internals just bored out a little? What I mean is, doesn't it look the same from the outside?

Thanks,
Brad

My understanding is you actually have to send yours in to SLR and they bore it out. Prepare to be without your truck for a few days! Anyway, there should be no visible exterior changes if that's the case.

I'm thinking about doing it too; along with cams eventually. Feel free to be the first though so i can decided if I want to do it...hehe! [Laughing]

I thought it was a core exchange to minimize downtime...
