Does anyone know of a turbo that will work on the X?

No, its hard to get room in the engine compartment.

Twin KKK - K03 model turbos would be nice... if you really want to spend some time fabbing exhaust, air inlet pipes, cac mounting...the list goes on and on.

A single turbo would be as much trouble, if not more - no room for a turbo crossover on the exhaust!

BTW - I love turbo's but there isn't any room for one here...Karensky is right frown

I'm wondering, though, if I move the battery to the back of the truck then I can create some much needed room under the hood. It'll also enable me to add another similar battery in parallel to the existing one, which is waaaay too small for any offroading lighting or compressors. But the question is, would the room in that little corner help in adding a turbo? Another possibility is replacing the engine driven fan with a thinner electric fan, but that hardly make any difference.

The hard part is bringing the exhaust from both sides of the engine compartment. I guess you could custom fab a pipe to bring the exhaust from under the engine (After the Y-pipe).

It would be hard to have the turbo where the battery is just becasue you have to run the intake back to the driver side of the engine.

The way I'd do it is build a custom pipe that brings the passenger side exhaust over to the driver side of the engine. Combine both exhausts and run it through a turbo on the driver side of the engine and then send the exhaust back down and out the back.

But that would mean a LOT of custom work, including moving stuff in the engine compartment to make room.
