Distributor Failure

Distributor Failure - 26/10/09 08:35 AM

So my truck has been running rough, sputtering and such, for the past couple of months. Found out Friday, the hard way, that it was my distributor. It went out, broke, finished, died while driving home from the office.
Man those things are expensive.
I guess my timing belt will be next.

I have 137000+ miles on her. Been delaying the Timing Belt change b/c every penny we could spare went into our home purchase. We closed three weeks ago. So every penny is going into having my timing belt changed out next month. I am paying a local mech to do it b/c I have the know how and the tools, but not the time to do it myself.

This it the first time my girl has left me on the side of the road.

Thought I would share.

richporter technology, off of e-bay, import warehouse 189.00 free shipping. but get the casting numbers off of the old distributor and order one from them, they make two for the x.T belt is a easy job,if money is tight, find some time to do it your self.
