Just got done watching this movie..

HOLY SHIT!!!! It's so much better then the first movie it's not even... I am still processing everything, but this movie was leaps beyond what I had hoped for. Great storyline, awesome character development, and CGI that was pretty much seamless. They don't use some of the characters enough, but it seems like they are giving you just a hint at who's going to be in the next movie(s?).

If X2 was this much better then I had thought, I can't wait to see what Matrix2 puts on the plate.

NightCrawler was handled beautifully. Seeing pictures of him on the web doesn't do him justice. I really felt he was going to be stupid looking, but the opening sequence changed my mind QUICKLY. From the "tattoos" to his "bamf'ing" it was all done AWESOMELY.

They are not 100% true to the comics on a few things, but it's easily overlooked. I wish Wolverine wasn't such a pussy when it comes to hand-to-hand fighting other mutants in the movies. Jack H does another great job as they show you parts of Wolvie's past and have him finding a little inner peace before having his world ripped apart again.

I could go on and on, but I don't want to say too much. The movie trailers were great, but they didn't show you every cool part of the movie or even hint at how well everything was put together. If you enjoyed X-Men, then don't hesitate to plop down the money to see X2. If I wasn't working a 12-hour shift right now I would have seen it again tonight. smile There's always tomorrow, and the next day, and the next....

I have a very big family, so at least once a week we have something to celebrate. It's a double edged sword though......
