Roof rack

has anyone taken the paint off the rack and buffed the aluminum?

The thought never crossed my mind... Like everyone else's i'm sure, mine are peeling at the nut/bolt points... but I would expect to get a new set if mine ever get to that point. Post a pic if you try it... i'd be curious to see how the aluminum/plastic color scheme looks

I dont know anyone who has done that but many have herculined them or painted them black.
