I don't mind road salt so much as long as I can wash it off at the end of the day...

Unfortunately, it's so freakin' cold that my landlord removed the hose and shut off the outside water.

Up until a while ago, I was still hosing it off. That is, until the water just froze over the outside of the X. Hehhe.

What I hate the most about it is that it gets EVERYWHERE!! Its all over the floor of my garage, my welcome mat... we mop a fair amount of it off the entry way floor, the dogs track it into the carpet, I HATE IT!!

Its powerful stuff though; I loaded up some of Lisa's old panty hose with the stuff to make sort of a "salt sausage." That sucker burned its way through the 10" ice damn on my roof in less than a day!! Now if I can only remember to get those hose out of the gutter before Spring time...

Like Phreak I have been rinsing off the salt at the end of the day. Unlike the Phreak I have underground parking. So my X gets a 10 min bath to get rid of the snow and salt. However, mud on the X has to stay at least one day. Wouldn't be cool to wash off the mud right away.

lmao DeFibVT... Agreeed.. Mud has to stay on for a day or two..=-) as for the road salt.. yuck yuck yuck.. being in utah.. It's always there during the winter months.... feels like i'm washing it off almost daily.. =-P

It seems like whenever I spend a few hours washing all the salt off of my X, we get snow and out comes the salt trucks. I hate road salt too!

Being new to the "winter" thing, I've learned to keep an ample supply of quarters for the many rinsings. At least the X, as opposed to my other ride, has sufficient height to adequately clean the demon-salt from underneath - Yeesh!
