Power locks gone bizzerk

Just hit 700mi on my '05 X, and during a 240mi trip on the highway my power locks started acting up. They started locking sporadically at least 5 times a minute, usually more. It's hard even getting in/out of the vehicle because they keep locking on me. The problem persists regardless of whether or not the key is in the ignition. When I get back home I plan on taking it in, but do any of you have any ideas?

Was it raining/snowing or did you go through any water?

Edit: Also, was the other remote anywhere near the truck? (Wifey had it in her purse, etc.)

Might be radio interference. Had that happen on my Bimmer a year ago.

Had something similar on a 2000 Nissan CC. Turns out it was RF interference. The garage door opener was buried in the center console, and the button was being held down. Once the opener was freed, my system started working fine again. Drove it another 30K miles or so after that, never another issue. Hopefully your is as simple to fix.

Its brand new. Take it to the dealer
