Need help boyz! On my 4cyl 2000/XE had bad idle pulleys. So replaced all v-belts, and top and bottom pulleys (pwr steer. idle, and A/C idle pulleys). Didn't touch distributor, or other ignition things. Put it back together. Starts fine, idles OK, but on gas down it chokes and coughs, and won't run well at all. Exhaust manif. gets red hot in a couple of mins! I rechecked the tension on all v-belts and loosened pulleys to make sure I am not causing any of it. Looks like the timing is off, BUT HOW DID THAT HAPPENED? The truck was just fine before (except for some noise from pulleys), and I diddn't touch any of the ignition/timing things. Any ideas of what maight have gone wrong. I sure will appreciate any smart suggestions...

Is your "service engine soon" light on?
