I was a recent victim of a broken window regulator. I'm out of warranty so the part was $73 and I put it in myself.
Not that hard, the part is a complete assembly, not including the motor. I spent most of my time ,before I got the part, trying to take the old cable off. Dont, its all together.
The parts guy said the Xterra goes through a lot of these regulators and searching the board it seems to be true.
Anyway, I probably saved myself $150 but have decided the xterra is a piece of crap. I've never had so many problems with a new vehicle.
