AT Overheat/ Brake/ Charge Lights on???

have a 2000 X with 3.3L that I bought for my son. he had to install an LED light bar.... the next morning, all three lights are on and the alternator does not appear to be putting any output. Shows 7-8v when i plug my volt in while running. All fuses in Fusible link are good. Does it sound like the alternator puked?

when i removed the battery cable when the truck was running it stalled. Are there other fuses/plugs i should check before dropping $150 for a new starter?

yes alternator. Mine just did this. Replaced and all good. Knuckles not so good.
