Hurricane "Chantal" approached Texas in the late 80s... That sounds pretty "black" to me!

I never knew a black chick with that name, but knew two white chicks...now that doesn't mean they 'acted' white.

Somewhat funny story:

My wife's name is "Chantil". She's white. This girl from work, Kim, knew my wife's name from conversation but has never met her. Well one day we had an after work party at the pool where I brought my kids. One of the other girls from work, Barb, commented that I had cute kids to Kim. Well Kim looked puzzled and said "Those can't be his kids because they're white and his wife is black."

I still give Kim a hard time about that.
