I'm fully convinced now that Bush is a pastor, not a President. What a snoozer of a speech.

It's because of the elections, he's flip-floping now so he can try to steal some moderate votes from the democrats.

So don't worry, if he does get re-elected he won't follow through with any of the things he's saying now. They're just lies to get more votes.

Why are you so against taxes?

Who do you think paid your way when you were in the service?
Where do you think the equipment you used came from?
How do you think the Military has become the most powerful on the planet?
Have you even driven on and Interstate Highway?
Do your kids go to school?
Can they read?
Do you keep your money in a Bank or Credit Union?
Have you ever been to a hospital?
have you ever had a flu shot?
Do you use the internet? (Wait, I know that one.)
Do you think the FBI should monitor terrorism?
Would you like to slow the flow of illegal drugs into the US?
Do you think we need people to keep illegal immigrants from crossing borders?
Do you think landing on the Moon was a good idea?

I hate it when Welfare is abused but there are a million good reasons for Taxes. More if you count all the kids who get a better education through government funds, and if they grow up to create something that bennefits America you should probably count that too.

Re: State of the Union - 20/01/04 08:16 PM

Is it just me or is there WAY too much clapping going on during Bushes speeches (although this isn't a bush thing, any big speech made by a politician).

I'm not saying that there are no people would want to clap, what I mean is that do people have to clap after every five words?

Quote:
State of the Union:

Tonight, members of Congress

can take pride

in great works of compassion and reform
<3 minutes of clapping>

that skeptics had thought impossible.
<5 minutes of clapping, people standing up>[/qb]
I can't stand sitting through more than a couple minutes of any speech made in the last few years.

And why do people that obviously disagree clap anyway?
If anybody making a speech says something I don't like I don't stand up clapping, I sit there wondring if I should walk out.

It makes it look like all those who attend are mindless sheep.

I am not against taxes, and I understand fully what role they play in the scheme of our society, but I do feel that we are taxed far too much, for things that our society could do without. I don't mind paying taxes to fix a road, or contribute to medicine, but I do mind my city/government raising my taxes because they felt the "city" needed two new stadiums etc... I am against raising taxes that take more of my pay and give it to someone who hasn't lifted a finger to help him/herself. Welfare should not be a career. Neither should medical aid. There are far too many people living off of the hard earned pay of the RESPONSIBLE working man/women, while those same working men/women are struggling everyday to make ends meet. I am not talking about the percentage of folks who actually need welfare, those that will use it to get on their feet again and contribute, nor those unemployed who need assistance(which they paid into)until they find a job (been there). I'm talking about those that decide that they are not going to do a damn thing and suck off the rest of us for their entire lives.

Is this the first State of the Union speech you have ever seen?

It's always like that with the clapping. No matter who is president. It used to be more unanimous, but now the Democrats seem to like to show disdain by staying seated or not clapping loudly at certain things.

I thought you would have liked the speech. There was a good amount of socialism in there tonight... Some of the more strange:

$23 million pilot plan to encourage student drug testing in public schools... WTF???

$300 million training and placement program to help newly released convicts find jobs...WTF???

That money right there alone could hire 5000-6000 border patrol agents for one year.

Kerensky.... Your rant on tax money was off the wall. Are you sober right now?

I'm sorry, I missed it! [LOL]

Has there ever been a State of the Union Address that wasn't full of lies and desperate attempts to get votes? I think what scares me the most is that people actually are swayed by the B.S. eek

Honestly; I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time to vote. I usually swing right, but I don't think I want to support GWB anymore. I just have a hard time supporting someone who's swinging left on things that I think he should be swinging right on, and not doing a very good job with anything else (did that make sense?). Basically, I don't think GWB makes a good Republican and if he's going to head left we might as well have a Democrat that's good at being one. I dunno... confused and discouraged! confused frown

I'm not sure either. However Pearl Jam is definitely a gay friendly band and Canada = gay friendly. After all, Vedder's father was gay.

Maybe you have no leader. I don't know. Do any of us have a leader we can really look up to today? It still doesn't mean you can't think of Martin as your leader. I remember you posting so much hope for him not long ago. It sure sounded like some pride in a leader.

Even so, it doesn't mean because someone is the leader of your country you have to agree with the way they govern.

You guys in Canada definitely need a lot more political dissent.

What exactly do Bush and Chaney do with $200M in campaign dollars ? How can you possibly spend all that on cardboard signs for front yards ?
Do they need a website ? I could make them a real nice one for $1M.

Yep, that's pretty ominous. In a speech laden with variation son keeping Americans "Free and Safe", it boggles the mind that he would then propose a constitutional amendment to limit the freedoms of some Americans.

What the hell does it hurt to allow gays to marry? They pay taxes. They are members of society, like it or not. "Sanctity of marriage" is not a valid answer. The only marriage that one should be concerned with is their own. If Bob and Bob's wedding impacts someone's marriage, then that someone has some work to do at home.

Your mind however is not sick and perverted because you get your panties up in a bunch worrying about and imagining the actions of a group of people that you dislike intensely. Your logic is stunning.

How does gay marriage affect you? You hate gays, sure. But you hate a lot of things and people. What I'm asking is this: in your day to day life, how does the fact that gays can marry affect you? Your ability to carve out your life? Answer me that.

I gotta tell you son, there's a lot worse things going on out there than gays getting married.

Gay marriage is so unimportant compared with the other things on the national plate right now. A constitutional amendment? Are you really for that?

How about the economy and national security? I think those are a tad more important. And a tad more relevant to the average american.

Give me a break with your pro gay bullshit.

The sanctity of marriage is one of the valid arguments.

However people like you with sick twisted minds seem to feel that one man sticking his johnson in another guy's anus is some kind of behavior that everyone should celebrate as normal and acceptable. In your sick, perverted mind that is some type of sanctity.

Well said PackRat.

[ThumbsUp]

Have you noticed that the people who hate homosexuals the most are the one's who are most fixated/graphic about gays sexual relations/acts? Personally, what happens behind their bedroom doors (as long as it's consensual and happens between people of legal age), is no business of mine.

Since marrage is a religious based insitution, my prediction is homosexuals won't get the title "Married", but in the near future, they will get all the Federal/State benefits that straight married couples now receive.

Re: State of the Union - 21/01/04 07:42 AM

I thought that Ted Kennedy looked like a jackass, sitting there shaking his head and pouting like a little boy. I agree with a lot of what Bush has done and plans to do, I do disagree with some of it. I don't like the plans for the new Patriot act. The big thing that I always realize is that it is a tough job being President of The United States. Everyone always has something to say negative about the job the Prez is doing, but would have just as many problems themselves if they were in that position. The Democrats crack me up. If we had a Democratic President in office right now (Gore and Leiberman), the terrorists would have walked all over us. Could you imagine Leiberman as our president. He is like the kid that got the crap kicked out of him every day out on the playground! When election day comes around, I will vote for the best canidate (in my eyes). I will not vote for the leading Democrat, or Bush just because he is a Republican.

Because he doesn't know. He is devoid of any original thought.

The only thing he knows is what's posted on anti-American/Commie web sites. Then he copies and pastes them here.

You have to feel sorry for him. He spent his childhood going to Black Panther rallies and anti-American protest marches.

He said it himself in a post a long time ago. My memory is fairly good.

I believe it was very early 80's and his parent's introduced him to one of the Panther's founders. I think it was Huey Newton.

Wrong!
My parent(s)/family introduced me to politics and books, not Huey Newton personally. I have read the writings of Huey Newton (Revolutionary Suicide is on my bookshelf at home)and was given Abbie Hoffman's black leather jacket from a member of the Black Panthers; but that was in high school in the late 80's; on my own.

Well.... Which Black Panther gave you the jacket?

My older sister knew Abbie Hoffman. He lived in her building during the 80's in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan. She said he was a very strange man.

Re: State of the Union - 21/01/04 10:30 AM

The Democrats are pathetic. They sound like bitter, little kids. [Crybaby] Always quick to point the finger, but NEVER have any answers on how to help the situations.

If they have such "great" ideas to help the economy state them. The war? Suggest some things. Terrorism? What would they do to protect us?

Who cares if no WMD's were found? We got rid of an evil dictator who committed mass genocide against his own people. He was inviolation of 17 UN resolutions. For me, that is enough reason to get rid of him. Maybe if the World acted in 1938 Hitler would never have been successful either....

We have to teach these Muslim bastards a lesson. Mess with the US and its people and retributions will have to be made. "It is better to be feared than loved.....".

What Kennedy did last night was a disgrace. Show some respect jackass! Why was he never killed?

Same goes for Hillary. I would love to smack that sour puss off her face. What a bitch. I don't blame Bill for banging a fat pig instead of her. She makes icebergs look warm.....

Could Nancy Pelosi get any more facelifts? She looks like Joan Rivers. All I heard from her was "blah, blah, blah....". She brought NOTHING to the table last night. As usual.

Anyone wonder why that ass Daschle was sent Anthrax? What a douchebag.

How about Sen. Kerry bringing up corporate corruption such as Enron, MCI, Tyco, et al under Bush? Hey Douchebag, their stealing came under Clinton's presidency in the late 1990's. They were only caught during Bush's term.

I agreed with some things GB said last night, but not other things.

No need for the Federal gov. to get involved with sports and steriods.

No need to ever bring up marriage. What happened to separation of Church and State? If fags want to get together, fine. Just don't call it a "marriage".

High school drug testing? That is a State/local gov. problem; not Federal.

More money to help educate cons? Jeezus, how much more can we give to them?

No. You are wrong. Republicans acted more dignified during Clinton's State of the Union speechs.

He even had to give one in 1998 less than a week after the Lewinsky scandal broke and he went on a bombing spree to get his extramarital blow job off the headlines.

They will stop at nothing to accomplish this.

They want the World to live like it is the 14th century.

Bomb them into the Stoneage? What good what that do? They already live in the Stoneage. smile

Our exhistence is dependant on destroying these terrorists. Being kind to them (like the Democrats want) will never do a dam thing. Ask the Israelis.

We could have already been out of Iraq already if we demolished the country with bombs. That is not our goal. Our Goal is to keep the infrastructure intact (and civilians alive) and to help the Iraqi people rebuild there and instill a democractic form of government.

We could have already been out of Iraq already if we demolished the country with bombs. That is not our goal. Our Goal is to keep the infrastructure intact (and civilians alive) and to help the Iraqi people rebuild there and instill a democractic form of government.

I'm leaving most of what you wrote because it is so damn funny.

The Islamic faith accounts for one out of every 4 people on earth. It is the second largest religion in the United States.

If every member of Islam was really bent on killing all americans and destroying Western Civilization, we wouldn't be writing these pathetic little notes on the internet right now. (Plus there's the somewhat comedic notion of millions of Amaericans killing themselves because they are Americans and their faith tells them to kill Americans...)

I think you mean to say that Islamic extremists, which account for a small percentage of Muslims, are bent on terrorism and destruction.

You got those figures from an Islamic site:

They are exaggerated and not accurate.

Nonsense. They never took their salary in politics. It was always donated (and still is with red nosed Ted).

So you have to be poor to even sympathize with them? Guess that makes Dubya just as suspect when it comes to his "compassionate conservativism."

Ummmm no, I didn't. Thanks for playing though.

Why should I have to provide you with numbers when your numbers are obviously bullshit.

You claim that 25% of the world is Muslim. Not true. Estimates are more like 1.2 billion at present.

You claim Islam is the second largest religion in America. Also a crock of shit. There are what, maybe 10 million Muslims in America. We have a population between 280-300 million.

I think you need to try again.

My point, which (as usual) sailed through your head without hitting anything of substance, was that all Muslims are not bent on destroying Western Civilization and killing all Americans. This was in rebuttal to some here on this board who seem to adhere to this misconception.

No one knows for sure the exact numbers. My numbers may well have been wrong. But that's not the point.

Not really, you said, and I quote: "You got those figures from an Islamic site...They are exaggerated and not accurate."

By the same token, using your argument, if I was to pull a statistic from a Jewish website that said Hitler killed 6 million Jews, you would also call that BS, because it's a pro-Jewish stance. It's your argument, not mine.

I'm sick of everything that's posted that calls out your BS being called "propaganda" by you.

Oh my, that's humourous.

OK, since you have displayed an utter inability to discern the point, and are resorting to calling me a liar (when I admitted the mistake) I wil spell it out for you.

I really thought you were smarter.

A few folks were saying words to the effect of "All Muslims hate America and want to destroy Western Civilization"

I think this is inaccurate. (Odd that in your penchant for statistical rectitude you have completely missed out on this opportunity to set the record straight.)

I mentioned some statistics which probably are not correct BUT the POINT is that if All muslims were as evil and ill intentioned as they were made out ot be, the streets of America would be a war zone.

That was my point. It is here that you picked up the inaccurate statistics and headed into left field.

Yet oddly you have yet to respond to this:

"Yep my mind is sick and twisted because I don't give a rat's ass wether or not a man marries a man or a woman marries a woman. It just doesn't affect me.

Do have any idea how ridiculous your last post sounded? I'm sure you don't. You have actually just proved me correct. I didn't head into any outfield.

I can see that somehow in your mind you seem to expect me to respond to every single concept brought up in previous posts in this thread. Well I can't. You were discussing Muslims destroying Western civilization with another user. I have no idea why you feel I had to be involved with that aspect of the dialogue. It's also strange of you to think because I was not replying to that aspect of the dialogue I somehow changed the subject. This was a busy thread today and I can't jump into everything. I also can't type that fast to keep up with everything. I only respond to the dialogues I am in or I jump into another if I feel it appropriate. As I did with you.

I also felt no need to get into a dialogue with you discussing your beloved gays. All I did was tell you to give us a break with your pro gay bullshit. It really didn't require a response beyond that. Maybe you were disappointed. I don't know. Plus we have been over this subject. You know my position on that issue and I know yours.

If I disappoint you by not responding to every concept posted, too bad. If you want my opinion on something, just ask me directly. I'm not shy to offer an opinion as you already know.

But by not responding to everything no way means I changed the subject of anything. I actually thought YOU were smarter than that. I guess the artsy fartsy image you put out is a facade.

On a side note.... It might serve you well to stop with the effeminate comments like "Oh my, that's humourous". You can talk like a regular guy. It's just a message board. It's not a Greenwich Village art house fundraiser.

So you surrender? I accept.

Look, you are the one that comes to the Xterra Owner's Club and only wants to launch (not discuss, mind you) political diatribes. You are completely biased, unwilling to answer direct questions that challenge your assumptions and beliefs. You belittle anyone who disagrees wih you. And NOW you seem to be saying "Talk this way, I don't like it when you talk that way."

You are laughable. I have been having fun with you, and I b'lieve others have profitied from the spectacle.

The only tinge of sadness is that you seem to take it so seriously, and seem to think you are...accomplishing something.

That is a crock of shit and you know it. When I'm on the board I discuss any topic and have discussed everything here. I always answer any questions put to me directly.

I don't belittle everyone. As a matter of fact there is only a small handful of people I belittle. You happen to be one of them.

Everyone is biased on most major issues in life. It's called opinions.

I'm glad you are having fun. I have just as much fun with you lefties. Why do you think I even bother. I don't take it as serious as you may think. I'm sure you feel that way because sometimes my words may seem harsh and that probably offends your feminine sensitivities. If it does, too bad.

And no... I definitely don't post on a message board for any sense of accomplishment. Why type of accomplishmnet would anyone get out of it? It's all in fun. Even arguing sometimes can be fun you know. If you weren't half a woman you might understand that.

I don't care how you talk. I thought I was being nice by telling you that you sound like a fruit when you use expressions like "Oh my, that's humourous". In many sections of New York you would be bitch slapped on site if you said that out loud. So... I guess I'll stop being so nice to you then.

Wrong. That is not even close to a true statement. There is at least one direct question to you posed in this very thread that remains unanswered. And I can think of several other instances that you have chosen to retreat rather than answer. Trust me. You don't want to take this stand.

See above. You are concerned with things you shouldn't be concerned with. Creepy.

Yes you do. You took the time to say so on a public message forum. Be honest with yourself, first and foremost.

So your underlying theme here is your perception of my sexuality. You seem to need to cast me as effenimate. If that floats your boat, go to town. I don't care. But I do suggest talking to someone about your conflictions. First work on your rage and hatred, then once that is adequately expressed, work on those unexpressed feelings.

What? No don't get mad. Im only reflecting what YOU said.

Here's the thing. You think you are talking about politics, but you don't REALLY talk about them. You parrot a party line that you read somewhere, then you retreat and never actually TALK about the ISSUE. You just like stirring the pot and sounding important. But there's nothing there. Nada. I'll listen to any opposing argumet, but you don't even have that. Face it. "Democrats Suck" is not really a defensible position on it's own. Think critically. Think deeply. Bumper sticker politics do not really define the thinking man.

Final clue:

It's a forum about Xterras. No one really cares.

Get over yourself.

Since this topic is already in the fire I'll just throw some more wood on.

Here's a view on the S of the U from outside the US:
Bush Act Starts To Wear Thin

He's very anti bush but raises some good points.

For example:

Quote:
He posited the invasion of Iraq as a war of liberation. But that was never his chief stated aim. It was to neutralize the direct danger posed to the U.S. by the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

Those weapons — anthrax, botulin, nerve agents and nukes from Niger, so dramatically and graphically illustrated in last year's State of the Union address — have now cleverly been downgraded to "weapons of mass destruction-related program activities." (my italics).

It has nothing to do with extremism or racism. That's where you leftists reveal your pyschosis.

Haroon Siddiqui is a total peice of shit. With very little effort a Google Search reveals a wealth of articles he has written. If you defend this guy after reading some his leftist anti-American anti-Western filth you are worse than I had thought. He is an apologist for third world terrorism and is also a Muslim who blames America for what happened on 9/11. He is a glowing supporter of other Muslims who support Palestinian terrorism like Edward Said.

He blames everything on the West and America. Every problem in the third world in Siddiqui's twisted mind is our fault.

He is the lowest of the low and you are a disgrace to accuse anyone who attacks his anti-American venom as being a racist. You are just as sick as Siddiqui. You are proof that out of control leftism is a mental illness.

I'd be willing to bet this guy has ties to terrorist enabling organizations in Canada and elsewhere.

Here is a quote from the author you think raises some good points. It was written a week after 9/11:

"Either out of ignorance or calculation, the theories on the motives for last week's attacks avoid the most obvious. It is due to American complicity in injustice, lethal and measurable, on several fronts. Not all the conflicts can be blamed on America but many can be and have been, especially in the last decade, only to draw indifference or, more scandalously, a barrage of propaganda blaming the victims themselves: that Muslim genes must account for all the savagery and suffering around them."

Hey idiot. What fantasyland are you living in?

Tell me... In all of your wisdom, who are these terrorists that all the security and threat alerts are referring to if they are not Muslim terrorists? Maybe those evil bastards at Catholic Charities? Could be the Salvation Army? That's it.. there's an "army" in their name. It sounds belligerent. Must be them.

Every time there has been a threat alert it has ALWAYS been in response to threats from MUSLIM terrorists. Regardless of whether you are willing to accept the truth or not in your politically correct version of reality, that is the hard truth.

Yeah... all Muslims are not terrorists, but all the terrorists that all the security is geared towards ARE Muslim terrorists.

Wow, you guys really are bunched up about that aren't you?

If you would take time to read what I'm saying, you would discover that all I'm trying to say is that you were ascribing the beliefs of a small percentage of the Islamic faith to the religion as a whole.

I parrot a party line? Oh really. What party would that be? If you are referring to the Republican Party then you obviously have not read most of my posts on the subject of politics. Out of all the conservatives on this board, I would say I am the one who is the most critical of the Republican Party.

Do I like to stir the pot? Sometimes. Most of us do. There hasn't been a serious political debate on this board in a long time. We are all guilty of typing one or two line responses to posts without going into detail.

I have also had many serious debates here and backed up my positions with credible evidence. There just hasn't been anything serious here on the political or social front in a long time.

You seem to forget that you people on the left are just as guilty of dragging the level of dialogue down to new lows. For example look at the post above from one of your leftist friends Kerensky97. He started out his post by calling anyone who dared to question an author of an article he linked to as being a racist and extremist. All in advance of any expected responses. How fucked up is that?

See. That's the thing. You are so into partisan politics that you autmatically assume I am talking about rep/dem. What I'm saying is that you adhere to your viewpoint (which is fine, not a thing wrong with that) but you refuse to look around it, and at it. You enter every "debate" assured that you are right and everyone else is a hippie, living in a commune, with questionable sexual tendencies. There is no middle ground for you. You claim to know all about someone's political and social beliefs based on a few posts on a message board. That gets damned annoying. Moreover, you are pretty much wrong on most of what you think I am.

Re: State of the Union - 22/01/04 12:45 PM

Maybe this will lighten things up in here...

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, but her father was a staunch Republican. One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to high taxes and welfare programs. He stopped her and asked how she was doing in school. She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA, but it was really tough. She had to study all the time and never had time to go out and party. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of spending all her time studying. On top of that, the part-time job her father insisted she keep left absolutely no time for anything else. He asked, How is your friend Mary?' She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, didn't have a job, and went to all the parties. She was always complaining about not having any money, but didn't want to work. Why, she often didn't show up for classes because she was hung over. Dad then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and request that 1.0 be taken off her 4.0 and given it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a respectable 3.0 GPA. Then, she could also give her friend half the money she'd earned from her job so that her friend would no longer be broke. The daughter angrily fired back, 'That wouldn't be fair. I worked really hard for my grades and money, and Mary just loafs. Why should her laziness and irresponsibility be rewarded with half of what I've worked for?' The father slowly smiled and said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party'."

Re: State of the Union - 22/01/04 08:31 PM

Lol, I loved that one. Speaking of oldies, this one's a classic:

Quote:
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her
altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't
know where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air
balloon approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation
of 2346 feet above sea level. You are 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north
latitude and 100 degrees, 49. 09 minutes west longitude."
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican." "I am," replied
>the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat."

"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going.
You've risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect ME to solve your problem. And you're in EXACTLY the same position you were in before we met, but somehow now it's MY fault!"

Hey FudgePackedRat....

Not only are you an annoying effeminate snob, you are beyond any rational sense.

You accuse me of towing the "party line" and then you turn around in your next post and deny that the "party" was a political party but supposed to mean my own ideals. Whose ideals should I defend and adhere to? Yours?

So who is being 'obtuse'? Maybe your bullshit works with your poetry reading friends but it is ridiculous here on this message board. You impress no one with your hoity-toity attitude.

Your attempts at elitist patronization might work on someone who cared. I don't.

And yes ... Of course you are on the left end of the political spectrum. You didn't start posting yesterday and I didn't just pull your name out of a hat as someone who is an elitist liberal.

Let's just agree that you don't like me and I certainly don't like you. We can leave it at that.

I accept your surrender.

You have succesfully dodged evey issue and direct question. Choosing instead to make public your fantasies about my sexuality.

Yeah...if the point of view is the inside of his own anus, then it's Madman's point of view.

BTW, NY Madman, here is bit of interesting information, isnt it:

"..So what has this to do with politics? According to CAIR 78% of Muslims voted Republican in 2000. That is because many American Muslims say they share the same social values as the Republicans"

There has been much written about Muslim political support for both parties. There is no doubt that Muslims gave plenty of money to Democrats. Hillary Clinton benefited from generous Muslim contributions as one example.

In the 2000 election most Muslims may have voted for Bush for two reasons:

-Al Gore is very pro-gay rights. Muslims are not.
-Joe Lieberman was running as VP. He is Jewish. Muslims hate Jews and perceived that ticket as being too pro-Israel to support.

To say that Muslims have primarily voted and supported Republicans would be false.

To rely on the BBC for any credible info regarding Arabs or Islam is a huge mistake. They are very biased. Why do you think people call them the "Baghdad Broadcasting Corp."?

To rely on CAIR as a credible source for any accurate information would also be a mistake. They are an organization with questionable motives and some of their leaders have been tied to terrorism.

CAIR Chairman Omar M. Ahmad told a crowd of California Muslims in July 1998, "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."

What are legitimate news sources to you Madman? Now you claim the BBC isn't worthy to get info. Where can we get info, so that we can have a discussion with you, without you resorting to that tired argument.

A list would be nice, please.

The BBC is not a good source to quote on Arab or Muslim affairs. They are totally biased in that area.

If they weren't, do you think the British Navy would have thrown them off their aircraft carrier in the beginning of the war?

Plus can you believe anyone who uses CAIR as a legitimate source for information as the linked article did?

Gotta agree. The BBC also won't allow their reporters to refer to Saddam as a former dictator because they supposedly want to not be biased. Is there anyone who doesn't think Saddam is a former dictator?

It's much worse than that.

The BBC Chairman had to quit today over an inquiry into what amounts to basically lies told by the BBC.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s1033550.htm

The whole organization is nothing but a mere shadow of it's former self. They are not much different than most western elitist media machines. They are not above lying and twisting the facts to promote THEIR OWN political ideals.

You can read the BBC's own reporting on the Lord Hutton investigation below... that's if you can trust the BBC to report accurately on an investigation into itself.

You mistook the meaning of my post, I wasn't accusing anybody who disagreed with me as being racist I was just waiting for you or your shadows to accuse Siddiqui of being a terrorist because he has an Arab background. Unfortuneately you were the only one that came close. But with your normal nazi-esque pro-genocide comments I wouldn't expect anything else from you.

One thing we both agree with, Siddiqui is pretty extreme, I don't agree with much he says except a few points in the article I linked. Yet you keep trying to put words in my mouth by claiming I like him or have some attraction to him. Just like the commie connections you keep trying to tie me to. I don't think anybody will disagree that you have a very active imagination.

And you claims that BBC is biased is one of the most hypocritical things you've ever said. Every link you post has right wing connections.
Your favorite source of information, NewsMax.com is more biased propaganda site than BBC, almost every story they have bashes liberals. All you have to do is check out their store to see where their bias lies.

I guess as with everything else in you mind, if it's not American its an enemy.

Just about every media outlet will show some form of bias, but there's a huge difference between showing bias and flat out lying. The BBC has done this and is rightfully paying the price for it. [ThumbsUp]
