Outside Colo Springs, about 10K feet.

The "sawtooth" range in the background is the Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) range. The Sangre de Cristos are unique in that even the low points between peak rarely dip below 13,000 feet. This wall of rock creates som very unique wind conditions which are part of the reason for the formation of 750 foot tall sand dunes on the other side.

This stuff (except the dunes) is 20 minutes away. So anytime, man!
