Cool shot. How far did you have to drive out to get that shot? I've always wanted to drive that close to the beach water but I'm afraid the lifeguards will start bitching.

Clapto, in that part of the Outer Banks of North Carolina there is a designated 4-wheel beach where there are no life guards.

As Vret said we were in the 4 wheel drive only area about 10.5 miles from the end of the paved road. .9 miles from the Virginia state line. We had five vehicles at the house. Some had issues some didn't with driving on the beach.
Xterra = no issues
Jeep = no issues
Chevy Trailblazer = Stuck
H2 = Stuck
Ford Exploder = Stuck twice

you still out there? I live in Elizabeth City and was thinkin of bringin my X down to the beach this past weekend but didn't feel like goin solo...
