Excursion off-road (56K Beware!) - 07/11/04 02:48 PM

Pictures of the China Wall trail in the Tarryall area of Colorado.

Plenty of rocky areas to negotiate:

BikesDestroy Made this obstacle look easy:

Much steeper than it looks......

He will, apparently, try anything!!!
(Very BIG optional obstacle)

I guess BikesDestroy finally "popped the cherry" of his new(er X.

Plenty of scratches down there now!

A pretty large rock:

It was a fun little trip.

Troy was pretty clos to a dead branch. We contemplated trimming it, but decided to back out, instead.

Eight minutes! OUCH!

Lesson learned, stay on the trail next time (which goes on the other side of the tree).
Even if you see tire marks it doesn't mean you should help braid a trail, we already lost two trails this year.

Before anyone asks about those black steel wheels, looks like he rounded up 4 of the 16" steel Xterra spare wheels. Not a bad idea...

Thank you, you are correct. Plain ol' Nissan steel wheels, and I even got a matching spare!

Were you trying to find harder obstacles next to to the trail?

Did the toy group behind you say anything to you for going off trail?

We never left the trail.

Most of the bypasses are much newer than the obstacles.

The only hills Houston has are overpasses on the freeways and the only rocks we have are made out of cocaine. frown

Troy I would of thunk you were going to use the new X for grocery getting, and just keep beating up the yellow one? Nice Pics [ThumbsUp]

The yellow one has 170,000 miles and has yet to have any problems. If anything goes wrong at this point I really can't complain. So I don't want to be on the trail if/when something does go wrong. I bought the khaki one for wheel'n!
