And if you just would drive a bit longer (about 15-20 mins at 30-40 m/h) you can get to Coal Bank pass, where you can ski/snowboard for free, and have all the fun with 4wd driving up/down on slippery 550 smile

Then again - DMR is good place.

Getting in 4wd to get to parking place there is nothing smile )
For last week (till it melted) i had to be ih 4h to get from our driveway smile

If you get up to the Coal Bank pass - there is skiing/snowboarding/sledging area right on the left side. Its pretty popular amongst locals smile Drawback is that you have to drag yourself up, but hey - its free cheese, and its pretty good place, where everyone can do some kind of activity with snow.

thanks for the info...

we did pretty good, all things considered.. about $655 for 4 peeps to crash 4 nights and get 3 days worth of lift tickets.. best deal I've found ever... :-)

Yup, not bad. Could be faarrrr worse smile Plus you managed to get there around biggest snowpack since 1997.

I had SO much fun.. it was hands down the BEST snow I've been in... WEEE!

But the snow park wasn't ready yet :-(
