Well it finally happened. All those hard earned miles added up to the big 100,000 marker. The truck is still in good shape and rolling around almost as smoothly as it did all those 5yrs ago. Amen.

Great but....when was the last time you dusted your interior? At that mileage, I'll probably have my X completely detailed and then go offroading the next day! laugh

Hmm, why do you clean your truck? I have bathed her once in the past two years. I don't see the purpose. It isn't a show truck and the rain and a quick squirt with the hose does the trick. As far as the inside goes, I try to keep it cleaner, but that plastic is just a static nightmare and attracts more dirt, dust, dandruff than you can keep up, unless your name is Monk.

Congrats. Another milestone, so to speak.

Camera flash will show up every speck of dust within 1/4 mile. That did remind me that I need to clean my dash and get all that dang dog hair off it.

I agree with you on principle, but regularly washing and waxing your truck will make the paint last a lot longer. A fresh coat of wax protects the paint from sun (UV), dirt, salt, scratches, etc... and will keep it from peeling and rusting. X's haven't really been around long enough for the elements to take their toll, but down the road it will be appreciated. Plus, its a lot easier to work on if you keep the underside and engine bay clean. Appearance-wise, I couldn't care less what it looks like.

It came out inside a big Graebel moving semi. I believe it was like 2400 miles or something close to that. The majority of those miles were traveling between Philly and Virginia Beach every weekend for a bit over two years.

Sucks to be that close to the perfect 100k picture and then blow it by a tenth of a mile.

Oh well, in 99,999.9 more miles you'll have another crack at it. laugh

Re: 100k + - 07/02/05 09:37 PM

That would actually be a full mile over... [Too much XOC] If you count the numbers, it reads 100001 if it was in 10ths it would be 10000.1

How the hell did you do that? It looks as real as it gets. Geez, I better learn how to use that program.

About as simple as it gets. Outline and copy one of the other 0's then paste it over the 1. Done. 1 minute of time wasted! lol.

I'm somewhat of a Photoshop Pro. Spent many hours when I worked for a Software company blending my colleagues faces into female bodies and submitting them to that Am I Hot or Not site! lol. Which is why you see some really butt ugly women on there.
