Editor, that looks great. Those CO's are monsters.

What is the expected suspension travel? This is with a 4wd I assume?

Along with the tie rods are they going to produce a new CL/Idler/Pitmal Arm?

We are doing final measurements today. It's somewhere between 12 and 14 inches of travel. I don't know about the droop yet. There will be no tie rods per say. Heim joints will be replacing them. I don't have the answers for the other stuff yet. I can say yes, I just don't know when.

Oh yeah I forgot. It is 4wd.

Re: Almost done!!! - 24/09/04 03:23 PM

Do they still require a 17inch wheel to clear the spindle or no?

I heard that Hanniman is going to rework the front X fenders for you guys? You didn't like the original ones or the fit wasn't right or it's all just a nasty rumor?

No...there is no spindle now so you can run any wheel you want. I put on 15's with 33" BFG's. Yeah, the front is being totally reworked. The originals were based off a '99 Frontier so the fit was not quite right. AC had the same problem. Hannemann is reworking both the front fenders and the valance/bumper cover. It will be sweet when it's all done and painted.

If the above is true, let me know if you still need a trim on that bumper...Steve is in MA right now, but he'll be back in the beginning of October.

Good luck, looks great so far.

So basically that's why mine were a bitch to fit. What are they doing with the bumper/cover? Will it be a stand alone piece or will be be part of the fender/hood set up?

That looks nice!
It's probably just a trick of the picture, but it kind of looks like the lower coilover mount would be close to binding at full stuff...but I'm sure it's been tested for....
Nice work! [ThumbsUp]

I have not talked to them in a week or so, but it's in 3 separate pieces. The front could probably be sold as a stand alone. The cover will basically follow the lines of the fender well to a natual termination point. It looks a lot like the Total Chaos Frontier that was at Expo last year.

So are you using the stock CV joints or is there a solution for that?

No one is making aftermarket CV's for a Nissan that actually work. The longer axles relieve some of the stress that full droop would otherwise cause. There are also talks about a differential drop kit in the future to relieve the angle another few degrees.
