17" Nissan Rims with 32"+ Tires?

I have a 2005 SE and I'm planning on getting a 3" body lift to fit some bigger tires and I'm looking at about 32" or 33", depending on what fits. Just wondering if anyone has a lift with stock Nissan 17" wheels as I'd prefer not to get rid of them...
Anyone running a setup with 17 inchers? I'd like to see some pics

Not an 2005...but 1st generation X....here is Carlos's X from HXOC. 3 inch Calmini lift with 33 inch tires Pro Comp with 17 inch stock wheels. Looks very nice in person.

I actually wanted to buy the 17" rims to go with my 32"s..I think it looks A LOT better..

Nahhhh...Not that much...I had the 16" SE Wheels, and now I have the 17" SE/SC Wheels with BFG all/Terrains (the same Tires I had on the 16" Wheels) Different size of course....and they were not a Big Price difference...

A little bit of rub, but fine once the mudflaps came off.

Problem I believe is that first gen wheels will not fit on 2005+ Xterra's. Correct?

That is correct.. 1st gens. are 6 X 5.5 and 2nd gens are 6 X 4.5

Why would the 3" body lift require you to get rid of the 17" wheels?

It wouldnt, just wanted some pics so I could see if it looks good or not and if not, then I'd invest in some smaller wheels. These pics all look great, and for those talking about the difference between 1st and 2nd gen 17", I'm not quite sure why the comparison is being discussed..can anyone explain? I'm not getting the 1st gen 17"s if thats what people are thinking...Just wanted to see how the larger wheel size looks with BF A/Ts..and they look great.

i saw a truck just like that when i was driving down to baltimore one day last week or weekend. i cant remember when it was, but im pretty sure it was on I70. same transformer sticker and everything. maybe just a similar lookin X.

Just FYI you dont need to put a lift on your truck to fit 32's and you actually dont need to put a lift on to fit 33's. you will have some extremely slight rubbing on the inner plastic liner. But that can be easily fixed by using a heat gun or hair dryer, and melting the plastic a little and pushing it back....

Thats all... no lift needed.

so what other bigger sizes are you guys w/ s/c rims using besides 265/70/17?
